"Stained Glass Flower Delivery"Students from the Calhoun Community High School wanted to do an end-of-the-year project that involved landscaping along with painting. Their school offers no art classes, so for many this project was one of the few times they were able to work on their painting skills.
Lead Artist Kimber Thompson decided to let the students express their creativity by giving them a rough idea of what she wanted painted - large flowers or simple shapes, in bright and vibrant colors. The students painted the images with much enthusiasm. Then, everything else was painted using a light and medium shade of green. The next day, Kimber came back and spent a few hours outlining the entire truck and all of the designs with black outlines, creating the stained glass effect. You can definitely see this Stained Glass Flower Delivery from Michigan Avenue now! |
